How often will I need to come for counselling or psychotherapy?


I prefer to see people weekly, at least initially. Down the track, depending on personal circumstances and availability, appointments will be made as needed.




What age range do you treat with counselling and psychotherapy?


I treat Adults and adolescents (over the age of 13), and also do relationship counselling with couples of all ages and backgrounds.




What treatment approaches do you use?


Treatment may incorporate one or more of the following approaches:

Cognitive behaviour therapy: to change underlying thoughts and beliefs that are contributing to depression and anxiety

Hypnosis: Using an altered state of consciousness to enhance the benefits of psychotherapy, used successfully and safely for conditions in which anxiety plays a role e.g. phobias, OCD, addictions.

Mindfulness-based therapies: Mostly drawing on Russ Harris’ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which reduces emotional reactivity and develops resilience

These may also be used in combination with Neurofeedback and/or EMDR




Can I have my session over Skype instead of in person?


Yes, asbsolutely! I am happy to do sessions on Skype for counselling and psychotherapy. However, certain approaches such as EMDR and Neurofeedback cannot be done over Skype and must be done in person.
